Interesting banknote in nice condition under British rule during the Second world war (1939-1945) with portrait of King George VI (1937-1952). Being the country small and not rich, fractions of pounds were in circulation. In fact there were simultaneously 2 shillings banknote and 18 piasters=2 shillings coins, made of sterling silver. Usually such situation is not stable and either coins or banknotes become less frequent. It seems, that in this case it happened with banknotes. As the result the presented lot is pretty seldom, and the strategy for collecting items of such level of rarity is: to get the item in any condition, being found better, the previous is easily may be exchanged or sold.
