First and only edition. - John Brydall (1635-1705?) was a lawyer and entered Queen`s College in 1652 and graduated in 1655 to graduating, he enrolled as a low ranking member at Lincoln`s Inn and was considered the obvious choice to replace his father upon his stepping down. Brydall published 36 legal treaties, and left 30 others in manuscript upon his death. - Spine and corners somewhat rubbed, inner hinges slightly broken, pages partielly slightly foxed, front and end papers slightly glue-stained, a small printed book-description mounted on front paper, else a fine decorative copy.
