Original hand colored proof print for a comic in the French magazine "Le Bon Vivant". -- Format: ca. 30 x 22 cm. -- in good condition. || Original handkolorierter Probedruck für die französische Zeitschrift "Le Bon Vivant". -- gut erhalten. || Le Bon Vivant was a French illustrated humorous magazine, issued between November 1899 and January 1911. On November 18, 1899, the Fayard publishing house decided to replace La Jeunesse amusante, launched in April 1897, with Le Bon Vivant, the family's humorous newspaper, targeting both high-school students and their parents. The magazine came out every Saturday and included 16 pages of comic illustrated stories, sometimes with the central double page in color. On March 20, 1910, the numbering stopped at 540, and a new series began, which ended on January 8, 1911, after 43 issues: Le Bon Vivant then merged with the Diabolo-Journal, also a Fayard publication. A lot of cartoonist, illustrators and comic book authors have been featured in Le Bon Vivant: Jean d'Aurian, B. Baker, Bara, Cadet, Calvin, Marcel Capy, Courtois, Dandurand, Georges Delaw, Paul d'Espagnat (S. Pania), Pierre Falké, Ricardo Flores, Henry Gerbault, George Edward, Lucien Haye, , André Hellé, Joseph Hémard, Henriot, Léon Kern, Georges Lion, Robert Lortac, Mars, G. Ménard, Mignot, Mirande, Marius Monnier, Mauryce Motet, Georges Omry, Charles Pourriol, Maurice Radiguet, Moriss, G. Ri, Pierre Rivaltar, Paul Sellier, Tybalt, Louis Valverane, Walles, Weiluc.
