For request of a lot of coins for the first year of the currency reform it became neccessary to produce additional coins at other mints. In 2002 1 euro coins were produced in Athens and in Vantaa (Finland). They are distinguished by the bottom star on the Obv.: it was left plain in Athens and bears letter "S" in Finland ("S" states for Suomi, the name of country in Finnish). This coin is from Athens.
