Interesting type with allegory of Liberty in attractive condition! It is one of the longest emission in the modern world. Recently main groups of emission with the help of this very coin were found.


Obverse

Die 1 from model 1879 - large central dots in decorations, thin script to LIBERTAS.

Die 2 - small central dots in decorations, thin nostril, left pearl in diadem far from hair.


Reverse

Die A from model 1879 - numeral "5" thick, to the right of it the inner tendrils have shape of ark of a circle, wide ribbon.

Die B - numeral "5" thick, to the right of it the inner tendrils have elongated shape, wide ribbon.

Die C - numeral "5" thin, to the right of it the inner tendrils have elongated shape, the right low tendril touches 2 berries, narrow ribbon.

Die D - numeral "5" thin, to the right of it the inner tendrils have elongated shape, the right low tendril touches leaf and berry, narrow ribbon.
