Modern Reprint Postcard Maypole Pit Colliery Explosion Abram Wigan 1908

Modern Reprint Postcard Maypole Pit Colliery Explosion Abram Wigan 1908

A modern reproduction postcard commemorating the Maypole Pit colliery explosion at Abram, near Wigan, on 18th August 1908, which resulted in the loss of 76 lives with only 3 rescued alive. The front reproduces the original memorial photo-montage card listing victims' names and photographs. The back is printed by Cavalier Postcards and is unused/blank, confirming this is a present-day reprint rather than an original Edwardian-era postcard. Mint condition.

Condition: As new / mint — Blank back with unused address/stamp box, no writing, no postal markings — this is a modern reproduction card, not an original period postcard. No creases or wear visible, pristine condition.
