Interesting type without "CENTS", the very first issue of the nickel emission in nice condition. For there was no word "cents" at the beginning of the emission, so many were gold plated and passed for 5 dollars and are commonly known as racketeer nickels. As the result the word 'CENTS' was introduced same 1883 year, to reduce this fraudulent practice. 13 Stars on Obv. around the Liberty head are for 13 the very first states, which founded the flourishing country.
