Interesting type with oak leaves in attractive condition with mint bloom struck by Leningrad. Recently with the help of this coin main types of the emission were discovered and basic classification was introduced.


Obverse

Die 1 - details close to wide rim, at bottom stalks snuggle to ribbon, middle ear between orbits of ribbon on left side shows 7 grains and on right side - 6 grains, 2 grains of the right ear between orbits touches the top orbit, the top left grain of the middle right ear has shape of triangle.

Die 2 - details close to wide rim, at bottom stalks snuggle to ribbon, middle ear between orbits of ribbon on left side shows 7 grains and on right side - 6 grains, 2 grains of the right ear between orbits touches the top orbit, the top left grain of the middle right ear has shape of trapezium.

Die 3 - details close to narrower rim, at bottom stalks snuggle to ribbon, middle ear between orbits of ribbon on left side shows 7 grains and on right side - 6 grains, 3 grains of the right ear between orbits touches the top orbit.

Die 4 - details closer to center, at bottom stalks snuggle to ribbon, middle ear between orbits of ribbon shows 4 grains on both sides.

Die 5 - details closer to center, at bottom stalks protrude from ribbon, middle ear between orbits of ribbon shows 4 grains on both sides.



Reverse

Die A - details closer to narrow rim.

Die B - all details so large, that letters touch rim.

Die C - details far from narrow rim.

Die D - details in finer lines very far from wide rim.

Die E - details in bolder lines very far from wide rim, wide date.

Note. There are many other differences between the dies, some of them in the shape of leaves additionally shown in the photos.



This coin was struck with dies 2+B, the only year when these dies were used, which strongly indicates that the dies were originally made in Leningrad and not sent there from Germany.
